No Other Name

What's In A Name, lettered in india ink with various pens

Really what else was I going to do for this one? I did get to try out the expensive drawing board I bought a while back which I had been unable to really test run until now since grandma was driving me too crazy to want to. It's wonderful BTW and much better than the North American ones I've seen, good working angles.
The few b nib (oval) lettering styles really evidence how infrequently I use the b nib, and the second go around spaced the words a little differently than the practice one (from which I liked the layout better). Letter spacing also got rather wonky at times-more on this one than the practice one in fact-still the right justification while not great is also not hideously bad. Really there isn't much opaque white on this piece, so I consider that pretty decent.

Sorry, Char. I disappeared, and I know you're crying inside because of it. Life (mostly my job) has been overly busy lately and shows no signs of slowing down. We'll see what the next few months bring...

I hate offending people, but it seems to be one of the few things I am good at.

I work 7 straight days over Christmas, but then get 7 straight days off over New Years. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. Maybe I should go visit you...

Did your mother choose all of your names compulsively? At least none of those begin with S or J, either. (Speaking of J's, how you doing, man?)

I'm glad you liked some of the shots; it was about 37 out, so that's why there wasn't more snow. The ice remained because it was shaded there most of the day.

People here can't drive in either. As long as I'm not dealing with them, it's okay.

I would've associated that word with a Vietnamese doctor.

This one is 'oozbky,' which has got to be some kind book parasite.

Did you ever do donuts?

More later. Yawn.

Also, the word is kkhxqs. Try that on for size.

How in the world did you get that? Through "Ok! Ok! Hexes!" or something like that? Holy cow you're strange.

I was hoping my "stalkerishness" would creep you out, but it has obviously done no such thing. Oh well. I wish I had people to spend the holidays with, but I will be spending it alone, in my room, by myself, alone. Did I mention alone? Yeah, you should feel sorry for me. Not really. Well, maybe. Only if you want to.

Char is a hard one to freak out. If you really want to, wear crocs and skinny jeans and take a picture of yourself with a sign that says, "I'm wearing this to my Unitarian friends' cuddlefest."

Sorry to hear about Christmas being like that. :( More later, I have to go to bed to be up early enough to beat on the children.

I honestly have nothing to blog about. So, give me a topic and I will see if I can do something with it. This is your opportunity to pick my brain or learn something about me you've always wanted to know.

Wait, you and mem are a couple? I never knew! Time to go tell everyone on the petra forums...

And what's with kumquats?

So who said I didn't get you something, Olsen Twin? I am snickering at you now.

I don't know how you got that idea from her messages at all. She just wants to use me to shut up the small-minded in bumble who think she should have 37 children and some sort of male around. And she wonders why it's so hard to convince me to be her fake boyfriend. Hmph.

Also, the word is 'eyfugtd,' which means 'eat your fug today.'

And what is up with your craptular spelling of Christmas?
