I am sure you guys remember my assertion that natural dyers love natural media because we see colour differently than other people. At least you should since I only posted that a month ago and I don't think dementia is setting in for any of you yet.
Anyway to test the theory, I found a cool little colour IQ test. Because it is a hue gradation the colour of one's screen shouldn't affect it.
So I scored a goose egg. However that happens to be a perfect score. I did it again more quickly and scored an unfortunate four (that would be two switched around)-probably could have gotten another zero if I had done it more carefully. So I have almost perfect colour recognition-this is grist for the mill of my theory.
Someone else take it and tell me what you get. I want more grist.

I scored a 146.
The funny thing is that I thought I was doing so well as I was moving the squares around!
I scored 7. It took me a few minutes to go through...I think if I were a bit more careful about it I might have done better. I will work on the other thing you want me to do, but I don't have any books to hand at the moment to do it. That is a pretty sweet test—though not as good as the theologian test, where I beat your Finney score.
The word thingy is exsmopa, which is some kind of exotic sad coffee.
I should have mentioned that I spent about 30 minutes on the test. Taking my time didn't help me at all.
Colorblind and proud of it!
I thought I remembered that, Stan. My guess is that I would've done worse in your shoes.
The word thingy is "outtivi" which is obviously some kind of outside bar with television.
So how long is a few minutes? It took me maybe one minute total both times. Most of them were glaringly obvious weren't they?
I think you did pretty well Stan. I mean you could have gotten like 1400.
It took me longer than a minute—though the first time I was going back and forth between that and work, so I don't know how long it took. I decided it was a good idea to check my progress, clicked "Submit" and then found that I couldn't recover to where I was before. So the second time was the only time I completed it—and that was probably three minutes? Four? Dunno. My eyes are slow.
I took it a second time. This time I went a bit faster.

Stan I think you're doing well. Fastness is relative. I could do it fast because I could just tell which ones went where almost immediately.
This little test, in addition to other tests for colorblindness I have previously taken, shows me that I am really missing out on much beauty in art and creation.
Unless, of course, this is just a cruel practical joke that has many co-conspirators.
Call me paranoid.
38. Which is above average for my gender and age. But still…half color blind, as well as half blind. Oh well.
Review of what?
James you're colourblind too? Or are you just referring to your general blindness which would include colours...?
You can't be too bad-you did score better than Stan (sorry Stan).
No, I really was reading it, and I was not telling you that to make you go away.
It's just been a long time, and you know my memory....
The word thingy is spbudior, which is a spelling-impaired boudoir.
